Writing this just because I have some time to kill while I wait for stuff. Hopefully you've been checking out my YouTube gaming channel. It's been a fun project I've been doing with some friends I enjoy playing with. I've been wanting to capture some of our games for the longest time and I'm glad I was able to get the chance to do so and test out how all this works. I know the videos are only ever so often but I'm looking to expand that in the future. My goal is to eventually get an HD console capture solution, which honestly isn't that much for personal use with products from Elgato and Roxio, but I'm still not there yet. I want to be able to put out all HD videos and have them out at least once a week. I want to be able to add regular live streams as well on Twitch.
But something I really want to do that would actually be manageable for me right now is a new VLOG series for the channel geared towards games. This is also something I've been wanting to do for a bit. The reason for this is basically an outlet to speak my thoughts on game news. I love this industry and I'm always fascinated by how fast it moves. Every week there seems to be a big story I just can't help but talk about with any friend I have that's into gaming who's up for talking about it. It never slows down and is always interesting and I think this would be a good way for me to get my opinions out there. The planned format is to choose 3 top stories I find most interesting from that week, talk about the story, and follow up with my thoughts on it. I want to end it with gathering feedback from viewers and their thoughts as well as answer questions.
I kept holding off on this because I want to figure out exactly how I want all this to go. But the more I think about it the more I want to do it, especially because it seems like the best way at the moment to bring in new viewers because the information is current and trending, since I don't always have access to the latest games. It would also be the easiest to put together, faster to produce, and would be shorter videos to watch compared to my other videos.
What are your thoughts. Should I pursue this new series or is there something else you think I could do? Leave a comment and let me know!
P.S., you'll notice this site looks different. It's because I've included Disqus for comments just like on my main website and Blogger did not allow Disqus to be displayed on their Dynamic templates, which I was using before. This is a new temporary template which I may customize further in the future if I have time.
